This is the perfect option for someone completely new and looking to get a taste of the sport for the first time. The main goal of this option is to just have fun on the water in whatever way that works for you. Our instructors will teach you the basics all while keeping you safe on the river. The Exploits River is the perfect place for this with its deep safe water and warm temperatures. Try something new this summer and be the talk of tea time in NL!

This 4-day kayaking camp is perfect for any beginner looking to refresh their knowledge in a safe environment or trying it out for the first time! You will start out on flatwater learning how to self-rescue and how to roll. Over the next few days, you will progress to running different class 2-3 sections of the Exploits River with a possible trip to other local rivers water level depending! The ultimate goal here is to help you fall in love with this beautiful sport, open your eyes to a new way to experience this island, and keep you safe through the experience.
